Camping
Ready for move-in?

Any DAYTONA veteran will tell you that you haven’t truly experienced the "World Center of Racing" until you’ve loaded up the RV, called up your closest friends and set up camp somewhere in the 180-acre infield. Here's how to best prepare yourself for a camping experience unlike any other this Independence Day weekend.

Entertainment everywhere

Surrounded by DAYTONA's famous 31-degree banked turns, you'll find that there's far more happening at DAYTONA than just three-wide racing. Bring some music and backyard games for some fun, easy entertainment. You'll find plenty of people with horseshoes, footballs, cornhole sets, bocce ball, Frisbee, ladder toss, and much more! Many even bring portable satellite dishes and TVs to keep up with the racing action.

UNOH Fanzone Access

While you're hanging out in the infield, upgrade your experience with pre-race access to the UNOH Fanzone, where you can participate in driver Q&As and autograph sessions, get up close at the pre-race concert, explore the interactive Kid's Zone, and enjoy the pre-race ceremonies atop the high banks! Wristbands begin at $30, with a three-day pass available for $80. Kids 12 and under are free to the UNOH Fanzone!

Make a shopping list

Make sure to plan out all the food that you'll need for tailgating. You can even make a menu if you'd like to stay organized. For starters, you need to get together things like ingredients, cooking equipment, coolers, grills, as well as plates and cups. The convenience of an RV's kitchen is perfect for a tailgating party, so there's no reason you'll have to limit your selection of food. Be very detailed and specific when making your list to ensure an awesome tailgate experience!

Prepare to host

Devoted race fans from all over the world descend upon every inch of the infield, creating a rich communal atmosphere from campsite-to-campsite – and at these campsites, hospitality reigns king. Tailgating is an excellent opportunity to meet people. There's a large sense of camaraderie among race fans at DAYTONA, so don’t be surprised if you’re invited to a tailgate by your camping neighborhoods or some friendly fellow fans wander into your tailgate looking to mingle. Extra food and drinks are always recommended when you tailgate at DAYTONA.
