Top things for kids to do during Coke Zero Sugar 400 Weekend, July 5-7 2018!

The Coke Zero Sugar 400 is annually one of the best family events on the motorsports calendar. With fireworks, $20 kids seats, free UNOH Fanzone access and more, it’s no wonder why race day at DAYTONA makes for an Independence Day weekend unlike any other. With so many things to do, below is a list of fun activities for kids and adults alike as you explore Daytona International Speedway.

Kids Area

Children under the age of 12 are admitted FREE into the UNOH Fanzone throughout the weekend, and will have no shortage of activities to experience!

Just like in past years, kids can enjoy activities including rock wall climbing, inflatables and much more! Starting at 2:30pm on Friday and 2:00pm on Saturday, let the kids enjoy themselves in the shadow of the “World Center of Racing.”

Driver Autograph Sessions & Appearances

Every young racing fans looks for the opportunity to meet their heroes and fill out their autograph book. Take advantage of several opportunities to do so while you’re inside UNOH Fanzone -- the best place to run into your favorite drivers. This year, autograph sessions include active drivers from NASCAR’s XFINITY Series and heroic Medal of Honor recipients – both located under the FPL Solar Patio inside UNOH Fanzone. Driver appearances will happen throughout the stadium, UNOH Fanzone and Midway, with a majority held on the main stage inside UNOH Fanzone. In addition to these exciting appearances, catch a Q&A with 2018 DAYTONA 500 champion Austin Dillon, brother Ty Dillon followed by a performance by hometown artist Kaleb Lee at ONE DAYTONA on Thursday 7/5 starting at 7:00pm.

Motorsports Hall of Fame of America

For the passionate young race fan in your life, there’s The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. Located in the Tickets and Tours Building at Daytona International Speedway, the MSHFA offers a vivid journey through the history of motorsports.

Watch as your kids can explore every motorsports you could imagine: stock cars, sports cars, motorcycles, open-wheel, drag racing, off-road, powerboat, land and water speed record chasing – plus aviation. Be sure to save with great deals for those with a race ticket.

On-Track Access

The pre-race track walk is a unique tradition that you won’t want the kids to miss out on. Watch as they make their way up the famous DAYTONA banking, making a memory that will last a lifetime by signing the start/finish line. They’ll fall in love with the sport as they experience the famous surface from a completely different, hands-on perspective. UNOH Fanzone access is required for adults, but FREE for all kids 12 and under, and includes an up-close view of the pre-race concert.


Historic Military Vehicles Display

New this year is a collection of historic military vehicles inside the UNOH Fanzone! All weekend long, check out the 1941 Willys MB Slat Grill, 1970 Ford M151A2 MUTT Jeep, 1987 AM General M998 Humvee spanning several decades of military history, all located near the FPL Solar Patio.

Gatorade Victory Lane

Let your children imagine themselves as race champions. Over the course of the weekend, Gatorade Victory Lane also provides a unique opportunity to see the Coke Zero Sugar 400 trophy up close. As they step atop the podium next to the trophy for a picture to be taken, let you children pose for a photo with the trophy as the next DAYTONA champion.
